Peridot Gemstones On A Dress? Yes!

"A woman should always dress to be remembered, not simply to be noticed."  So says Giorgio Armani.  Any woman wearing the one-of-a-kind Green Dragon Dress Armani debuted in Beijing this year would certainly be remembered.  Drawing inspiration from the dragon, an ancient symbol of good luck, he created a silk gown that is embroidered all over with square black sequins on its base.  A dragon adorns the dress in a 3-D effect achieved with rows of sequins, Swarovski crystals, peridot, and olivine stones.  It also has a few feathers thrown in to provide smoke for the fire-breathing dragon.
It took 600 hours to hand embroider and construct the gown weighing 15.43 pounds with its heavy burden of encrusted peridot and ovaline stones.  One thousand Swarovski crystals make up the 4.92-foot dragon and the smoke effect is achieved with 30 black marabou feathers.
The gown would be very impractical to wear, but it would certainly be unforgettable.
