Arrivals - March 2016

Ok folksickles, I had a thought to have a new "column" in here that I'll be calling Arrivals and Departures which is essentially a two-parter that will happen monthly (or as applies). Departure blogs will contain items that aren't empties but that are going to be given away for one reason or another.  The only thing you won't be seeing in arrivals are items I'm given for consideration - two reasons for this 1. is that it's no fun if you anticipate all the reviews coming your way and 2. technically it's frowned upon at work to share the products you receive on social media platforms. Very few people, to my knowledge, have been reprimanded for it but I'm not taking my chances over minuscule things.

1. Clinique Cheek Pop Blush in Heather Pop - I love how cute and nicely made these blushes are. They're super smooth and go onto the skin beautifully. I had to pick up Heather because I'm part of a Heathers group and also because it's such a pretty natural pink.

2. Duo Brush-On Striplash Adhesive - My favorite glue of all time, my tube is getting kind of gloppy so I figured it was time for a new one.

3. The Face Shop Collagen Ampule Lipstick in 07 - These lipsticks are BEAUTIFUL and high-quality but I'm kind of bummed I paid near $30 for it in-store when they're $17-19 online. If we don't think about the price, they do look and act like YSL lipstick, it wears well and is a beautiful pink-red.

4. Sephora Collection It Takes Two Lash Duo: This was on sale for $10 so... how could I say no? Really beautiful lashes and pretty inexpensive.

5. Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Drench Lip Splash Lipstick in Beach Bum: This is a really beautiful pinky-brown-mauve every day color for me and wore nicely, I'm happy with it.

6. Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Marine Boosting 4-in-1 Mist: This smelled super nice, felt refreshing when applied, was hydrating as well, and worked well to set my makeup and keep it on. No complaints here, I really like it.

7. Urban Decay Urban Spectrum Eyeshadow Palette: This palette is absolutely stunning, the shades are all buttery and pigmented without having to do much work and they're all these gorgeous mermaid tones. I'd be sad if I passed it up.

8. Anastasia Glow Kit in Gleam: Funny story is I bought this on my friend's birthday, we all came from a drag brunch and your girl here was tipsy as can be. Haha. So of course when I saw this and my girl was all "yeah buy it" I was all "yolo girl, yaaassss." That said, the shades were so beautiful and glowy when I swatched them I kind of did have to have it. I'm super excited to use and play with it and see how it compares to my beloved Tarte Amazonian Clay Shimmering Powder in Champagne

Please let me know if you've got any questions or comments.

Disclaimer: Everything you see listed above was purchased by yours truly. The Tarte items came in a 500-point gift from Sephora that is available to any Beauty Insider level as long as you have enough points.
